Sapele, aka Sapelli is a very smooth looking timer with a very definite red colour and striped grain. It is a very popular wood not only for kitchen worktops but for bar counter tops due to it being extremely hardwearing. These are Sapele Worktops made from planks which run for the full length of the worktop unlike the finger jointed panels.
